Resident Water Challenge

How It Works

• Every building starts with its own baseline.
• Monthly water usage is tracked and compared against that baseline.
• Buildings compete to achieve the largest reduction in water use.
• The bigger the reduction, the higher your building climbs on the leaderboard.
• At the end of the challenge, the top-performing buildings win prizes.

Ways To Help Your Building Win

• Take shorter showers – even cutting your shower by 1 minute can save 2 gallons of water!
• Run full loads of laundry
• Turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth
• Report leaks to your Community Team as soon as they are identified
• Avoid unnecessary water use – don’t fill up your water bottle all the way if you’re only going to drink half
• Encourage your roommates and neighbors to participate

The buildings that reduce their water use the most will earn a chance to win major prizes!
